Dr. Diana Ramasauskaite received an MD from Vilnius University, Lithuania, in 1992, followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the same university from 1992 to 1996, and earned a PhD in 2005 with a dissertation titled "The fetal lung maturity tests for the prediction of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome." Dr. Ramasauskaite has held several prestigious positions, including working at the Vilnius University City Hospital's Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 1996 to 2013, serving as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the Health Ministry of the Republic of Lithuania from 2010 to 2018, and as the Chief Specialist in Obstetrics at Vilnius University Hospital “Santaros Klinikos” from 2013 to 2018. Since 2016, Dr. Ramasauskaite has been a Professor and, since 2018, the Head of the Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Vilnius University, also leading the Center of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos. Dr. Ramasauskaite is the current President of the Lithuanian Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a member of the FIGO Safe Motherhood and Newborn Health Committee, a Council Member of the European Board & College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG), and Vice-President of the Management Committee for Perinatology Integrated Health Care of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania. Dr. Ramasauskaite's scientific interests include preterm delivery, infection in perinatology, vaccination, and reproductive medicine. Dr. Ramasauskaite leads several Ph.D. projects focusing on amniotic fluid markers, human endometrial stem cells, Doppler ultrasound in high-risk pregnancies, and the efficacy of iatrogenic endometrial injury prior to IVF. Dr. Ramasauskaite has also contributed to international projects, including a two-week master class in Obstetrics in Kazakhstan and the Lithuanian – Swiss Cooperation Programme to improve perinatal and neonatal health care services in Lithuania.
