Arun Himawan heads ILC’s Global Health programme, overseeing the organisation’s global health strategy and projects. Over the years, Arun has led ILC’s largest project on prevention and developed a first-of-its-kind “Healthy Ageing and Prevention Index” which ranks 153 countries on six healthy ageing metrics to measure countries adaptability to longevity. She’s worked on a number of projects in health, most recently, on Universal Health Coverage in low- and middle-income countries. She currently sits on the steering committee of the EU Structural Heart Disease Coalition. Her previous projects range from adult immunisation to cardiovascular disease and medication adherence. She has a strong interest in inequity. She’s led many global events, including ILC’s annual World Health Assembly side event along with the organisation’s G7, G20, and UNGA engagement.
